The running on water clip was from a viral ad for the shoes.
The clame in the original viral video was that water repelent shoes would allow you to run on water. The Mythbusters tested this and concluded that it was fake. The only way the Mythbusters could do it was with a platform just under the surface of the water.

That claim has been around for a loooonng time now, some 2000 years or so. ;0)
But it's wasn't about the shoes…
parting the Red Sea had an element of multiuse since Moses's staff could be used for his shelter…. plus it was LNT
