We are planning a 6 day trek in 3 season weather not bellow freezing and I am wondering what is the base weight that the BPL-ers consider SUL, UL and normal weight for a trip like this?
Thanks for your time :).

Well, by the numbers:
Light: <20 pounds or < 12kilos
UL: <10 pounds or <6 kilos
SUL: <5 pounds or <3 kilos
XSUL: <3 pounds or <1.5 kilos
Note that metrics are rounded.Baseweight is not too important once you hit UL because food weight typically exceeds pack weight. UL weights are pretty easy to hit. A good down bag, a good silnylon tarp, and a light pack will usually do it without a lot of fussing. These items are fairly durable and hold up well. SUL gear is generally less durable.

You could also be in desert n, or in areas with high rain.
Heavy bugs, or no bugs.Regardless, classifications are really fixed on wt.
Whats different, is what you choose to take.
Not to hard to meet 3season conditions between 7-10 lbs. You just buy your way there, without giving up anything.
