Does anyone know of a nice light weight "pure" propane lighter? Butane has issues below 30ish Degrees or can, due to its boiling point & vaporization levels.

I am hoping to find a lighter/fire starting system to use that is propane since it boils off at -43 degrees F. And would be more dependable on sube zero treks.

Does such a beast exist? I've seen butane lighters mislabeled "propane" but never a true propane lighter.

With its very high vapor pressure compared to butane, a propane lighter would have to be much more rugged. I also don't know how one would refill such a thing.

It's possible to charge butane lighers from iso-pro stove fuel, using this gizmo:

In theory, a ligher filled with iso-pro should perform considerably better in the cold than one with only butane. My experience at high altitude in the cold, is that regular old flint Bics work fine, so long as I keep them in my pocket between uses.
