Greetings all,
Someone on a previous thread posted a link to a Mountain Laurel Designs "Bug Bivy". I don't take the credit, I'm just passing it on, I know there's a lot of interest in this kind of a solution especially for the Gatewood Cape crowd (me).
It weighs 5 oz with a sewn in Silnylon floor. It has an upgrade option of a Spectralite floor that weighs 3.9 oz instead of 5 oz. It's a complete enclosure system at that weight so it's effective against the gamut of stuff. If there aren't bugs just lay on the net as a ground cloth too, it could work fine either way it looks like. It weighs less than most peoples ground cloth so it's an excellent bang for the ounce solution, but it's gonna cost ya. Take a look though, it may be just the ticket for you.
Here's a link to it…

Here's an alternate way if you have trouble. http://www.mountainlaureldesigns.com
Then click on the word "Shop", then click on "Bug Bivy", and you're home free.
I think this will finally solve the Gatewood cape bug issue for me when I finally get around to ordering one. If someone gets one before I do, I'd like to hear your review.
Regards,
Tim
