Has anyone had any success with a rolled-up foam style internal frame with an airtube or self inflatable pad, I imagine it would form some sort of non-circular shape due to the folding nature of inflatable pads (as opposed to rolling well like a foam pad)
Ummm… I roll up my deflated ProLite 3 Short inside my GG Whisper pack all the time… work's great. I'd hardly call it a "frame"… but when your pack is 10-15 pounds… you don't need a frame.
