After being severely let down by Salomon Toundras on my last hike I have decided to give the Oboz Bridger 10″ a try. 400g of insulation like the Salomons without the nasty failing seams. Well reviewed.

But after thinking about this more I am thinking that maybe I should stick with 8″ tall shoes. The Toundras never felt too short, you can always use gaiters to keep them dry, 8″ will be lighter and easier to walk in.

Thoughts? Other boots I should consider? The North Face Chilkoot 400’s seem to be OOS everywhere.
