Anyone have any recommendations for a single in line gravity purification filter. I have a MSR Drom bag that I want to outfit with a filter preferably one spliced in a line from the Drom bladder to the awaiting bottle.

Different models do different things. What are you looking for your filter to do?
1. filter out protozoa cysts
2. filter out bacteria
3. filter out or neutralize viruses
4. clarify water
5. improve taste
Which (or all) of the above?
Ben:
All of the above. I want to replace my pump. I also will often have a group of scouts with me and I want to be able to treat volume if I have to.
The ONLY gravity filter I know of that can do all 5 of the above in one go is the First Need Purifer. You can use it both as a pump (when you need water quickly) or as a gravity filter (when at camp when you need large volumes of water but have plenty of time). You can probably rig it to function as an inline as well, but it may require hard sucking. As for the others:
1. Seychelle can do everything except (3).
2. ULA gravity feed – same as Seychelle.
3. Sawyer purifier can do everything except (5)
4. Sawyer filter can do everything except (3) and (5).
Both Seychelle and Sawyer can be used as inline or gravity feed. The current ULA model can only be used as gravity feed.
