i am trying to figure out logistics for a backpack of the west rim trail at Zion NP. the plan would be to hike the narrows in the morning, then head to lava point to start the west rim trail and hike into the grotto, spending one night on the trail. i will only have one car in the area. has anyone managed this before? i was thinking of leaving my car at the park and getting a shuttle to lava point, but most of these seem to be leaving in the morning and i would need it in the mid afternoon. hitchhiking is always an option, but not reliable and possibly dangerous. any ideas?
