Ok, it's time to ask the burning question…

What's the difference between a Men's sleeping pad and a Women's sleeping pad? Thermarest does this.

A woman's sleeping pad knows when it's time to go to bed; a man's knows when it's time to wake up.

Actually, in the NeoAir Xlite series, a woman's pad has an R value of 3.9 vs 3.2, is intermediate in length (66) between a man's small (40) and a man's regular (72), so if its length works for you, (as it does for me), for the same weight as a man's regular you get a more compact, warmer pad. (All from memory, so you might want to check current specs).

Basically, I think the woman's pad has more foil layers.

Jim Sweeney is right. Not only are they often better sized (IMO) between short/regular lengths, they are usually warmer and they also come in colors that are easier to spot when the wind decides to blow them away from camp.
