Has anyone else had experience with these? Picked up a pair two weeks ago and took them out last weekend in the ADK high peaks. I was extremely impressed overall. I don't know if it was because of the zero drop, which I learned about after I had bought them, but I had no pain on the ball of my feet where I often feel pain after a long day. They were nimble, flexible in the right ways, yet still kept the mud and rain from dominating my feet. They were obviously not as breathable as non waterproof options, but my feet were not wet at the end of any day from sweat. Can't wait to use them again… might have finally found a pair of lightweight boots that I like as much as I like the idea of using trail runners!

I recently bought a pair of Piumas which is roughly the same boot, without the waterproofing. I liked the light weight, and seemed good quality, but felt like a) there was little rock protection underfoot, and b) the ankle was too high. Obviously you liked yours, but wondering what your experience was with either/both of those issues?
I liked the ankle height simply because I'm a boot person in general. It wasn't crazy high like it is in those Salomon 4D boots, and it isn't too stiff or restricting. The soles were actually very good on rock… correct, there isn't a lot of protection. But much more than with running shoes. The zero drop seemed to make me run more on the entire bottom of my foot so I didn't have any soreness. I still have yet to put them to the ultimate test on a 3-4 day ridge hike.
