I'm in the market for some rain protection. As mentioned in the articles on M-SUL, I am in the west coast and am primarily interested in light pants to protect from the occasional shower. I am trying not to break the bank.
Any input on the Montbell vs Sierra Designs? Thanks.
Also add Golite Tumalo to the mix please.
My Golite pants add 2oz to the Montbell offering, but I find them to be seriously robust (I have the Paclite ones).
They've served me well and have all the necessary features for me (A fly, zip-open legs, and a back pocket.)
I've preached the substantial rain gear mantra before. I usually want a little more durability in my rain layer, but YMMV.
