If I have a piece of fabric that is 24"x36" and weighs 13.7 grams, would a 36"x36" piece weigh 20.55 grams? Making a down pillow for a friend and not sure this scrap of fabric is the one I think it is. Thanks for your math wizardry in advance!

You are correct. 6 square feet vs. 9 square feet.
