Excellent pictures Art. How did Jon like backpacking? Was this trip physically challenging for you compared to your distance runs? Are you guys still considering a JMT though-hike this summer?
this was John's 2nd trip to the Sierra, and first ever backpacking trip anywhere. he did complain about the 21 lb pack on his shoulders just a bit. other than that, he absolutely loved the experience. backpacking was much different than running.
