Hi,

I've got a really narrow foot with a low arch. These new salomon shoes seem to be a good fit. Does anyone have any experience with either of these shoes?

While they make a gore-tex version, it seems that the x ultra is "water repellent." (according to backcountry–no mention on salomon's site) I'm looking to avoid gore-tex to prevent sweaty feet and promote rapid drying after river crossings etc. Not sure whether a "water repellent" shoe would work?

The synapse got good reviews but some found it to be very slippery on wet surfaces….

Thanks,

rhz

I've been wearing the ladies low-cut Salomon Synapse for the last few months and have not had any issues with slippery surfaces. :)
