SS2 setup

I don't understand your question. It is symmetrical so both ends are the same. Both entries have the door zipper sliding down from your left side and along the bottom to your right. No matter which "end" you are at the "high" side will always be the left one, and the strut will be at your left as you are laying it out. The SS1 is probably different.

Here is my SS2 last weekend.

The struts are at the head and foot, slightly crosswise, like right shoulder, left foot. Openings at the sides, offset side to side. I have one of the the struts marked with a small piece of line, so that I set up with the left "door" at the foot end. That's SS1, btw. But it's the same for the 2, you can see it in Ray's photo.

This is how I do it most of the time.

Start with staking the strut and then stake the tie out to the right and you will be setting the head or foot whichever way you look at it : )

I set down my ground sheet where I want to be and set the first stake/strut so that the left floor corner is right over the corner of the ground sheet and then set the tie out to the "right" so that the right floor corner is above the right corner of the ground sheet. Then set up the other tie outs as shown in the video.(Just lift up the fly as you are setting the stakes to see where you are positioning the floor corners.)

Once you have done it a few times you can set up very fast exactly where you want to orient the floor.

As Karple T pointed out , your requirement is exactly the reason why I set up the SS 1 and 2 the way I do.
I find a suitable flat area for the floor and then by staking down the ends first I can set it upp in that exact spot.
Note that I leave a bit of fabric slack in the middle when I stake the other side down.

Franco's video is just what I am looking for. I always set it up as shown on Tarptent's website, and at times I had a frustrating time getting the inner positioned right where I wanted it. Thanks!
