While wandering through the local Albertsons grocery I stumbled onto a 16 oz. bladder style container with water for $.99 usd.
After drinking the water and drying it out [it has a small neck type one way valve which I ran a drill bit through ] I put stove alcohol in it. The twist on style cap is leak proof.glacierpakhttp://www.parkcityicewatercompany.com. 15 grams w/cap.

Nice price! I wouldn't be surprised at all if they expand the product line to quart / liter size.

The water doesn't taste good, though. Kinda burned. I saved a few with the valve–I fill them with alcohol using a funnel. They seem sturdy enough.

Just mark it clearly if you're in a big group! It's a bit of a long shot but you'd hate to have someone die because they took a swig of your "water"

(Yeah ok I am a paranoiac)

Does anyone know whether the bottle is compatible with Platypus hydration system?

You can shove a Platy tube inside the bottle opening (tight fit but not trustworthy), and if you slip two inches of surgical tubing over both the Platy tube and the bottle opening it should hold.
