Jun 18, 2013 at 9:31 am #1997684thanks, that link was some minor help, but most was not up to date.
Jun 18, 2013 at 9:55 am #1997692I would check a couple PCT journals on postholer. Those will be the most accurate and up to date and the herd should be in or thru about now.

Jun 18, 2013 at 10:42 am #1997707thanks Greg – some of the postholer journals are helpful.
Jun 18, 2013 at 11:50 am #1997732Don't know about the southern passes but the north side of Donohue had a snow field on it this weekend. There was a decent boot path through it with medium sized sun cups and the snow in that area softened up nicely by about 10AM. By 3PM it was getting slushy.
Jun 19, 2013 at 7:27 am #1997997per Greg's suggestion I checked out some journals on Postholer.
all most PCTers could talk about was food, but I did find one hiker,Bobk, who did a very thorough write up of his journey thru the JMT passes from June 9 – June 17.
this was close enough and very helpful.Search Bobk from June 9 – June 17 (could not make a link to it).
