How to glue your CCF pad to your inflatable pad

Hi,

I use a quilt with a full length thin plastazote pad + a piece of ridgerest. I keep the two mats together with the line to which my quilt attaches.

I see no reason why it would not work for foam + inflatable. And that way you can still get the foam apart if you want to use folded as a casual sitpad during the day.

How bout some adhesive backed Velcro, like the 3M kind. You can buy packs that are precut into little circles, so no sharp edges to risk puncture.

Also, put the soft, fuzzy hoops side onto the X-therm so that when you roll up the pad, it won't be scratched by the plasticky hooks section.

I like the idea of Velcro. Not sure I would use it on the xlite as the contact points might create a lot of localized shear force on the material when you move around. I think paranoia goes with the xlite no matter what.

But it might work great if you are not worried about stressing your pad material.

+1 … that's how I'd do it. 3 long strips: top, middle bottom. Could always separate the two in the field which gives you flexibility.
