    Currently there are fire bans affecting the first 6 segments of the CT which go through Jefferson and Park counties. Looks like another bad fire year for Colorado. Please be careful out there.

    …seems like it is another (possible) year for WG, canister or stoveless options for meals if these bans continue.

    This is why I am waiting on a new canister stove to arrive. On the other hand, living about 4 miles from the Black Forest fire I am tempted to go stoveless. Pretty spooked two summers in a row!

    On solo trips it is an option I make use of for sure. Less futzing, no need to cook in hot weather and do not have to worry about fuel.

    Ps be safe! 4 miles seems unccmfortably close. :O
