I am planning a 3-4 day backpacking trip for late Sep or Oct in California. Generally we like plan for a trip of 20-30 miles (7 or so miles/day). We have hiking experience in the desert SW (Grand Canyon, Escalante, Grand Gulch…) Any suggestions as this will be our first excursion to California area.
you might want to narrow it down… like, mountain, desert, or ocean… CA is quite a varied state.
