I want to add cordage to my pack for compression and carrying stuff. What and where? Thanks. Terry

I tend to let my stuff expand inside my pack…it's all the same weight in the end, compressed or not. I just save the weight of the cordage. But, if I had to lash something on the outside of the pack I'd use 1-1.5mm spectra cord from various outfitters. GL.
I always carry a little roll of bankline with me. It's better at holding knots without slipping.
