Interesting thought created by Ultraspire, a reusable and collapsible plastic cup for marathon and ultra trail races in an attempt to save waste. Might have great application for some of us as the size and weight are quite small and it can serve as a drinking vessel and water scoop among other things.
As per the UA website:

i use the bottom of a plastic peanut "jar" for a water scoop and protects my Sawyer filter and a Campbells microwave soup cup for measuring, hot chocolate, oatmeal etc. it also fits inside my .7L pot with my stove and canister. i'm ok with a few grams to have those jobs separate.
6oz isnt very big, might not be fun to hold with hot stuff inside, expensive for what it is.
Cut-down platypus or other water bladder works well, too. Good way to recycle them once they start to leak.
