In Issue 7 Backpackinglight Magazine Ryan Jordan outlines the use of an extended Patagonia Specter Anorak for use in the wet slop and sleet of spring.
It would appear that Patagonia do not produce the Specter anymore.
Can anyone suggest a sub 10oz alternative?
I am looking for a sub 10oz, waterproof (and hopefully breathable) anorak/ smock( i.e. not full length zip in front as in a jacket) that is long enough to reach mid thigh or lower or could be extended to that length as in Ryans article .
The alternative is a poncho but I have tried one and am not happy with the poncho's performance in wet & windy conditions
