Just an idea for those using pots without handles, a UL way to pick up the pot without burning yourself. I use a 2 cup Fosters pot. Silicone wristbands work OK, but you need to have one on every pot and they are still a pretty narrow perch for your fingers. I got this idea as I use nitrile coated gloves with the fingers cut off when using trekking poles. After cutting the fingers off a recent pair, I got the idea to use the fingers from heavier rubber coated gloves as “oven mitts” , so I picked up a pair from the dollar store, cut off the fingers and they work very well. You can’t hold a boiling pot for too long, but long enough to remove it from the stove, pour the water, etc. The three here weigh 0.1 oz.

fantastic! I just started fiddling with a snow peak ti bowl as my cookpot, and while i really like the weight and shape i'm not a fan of messing with a bandana to pick it up. I've been meaning to put a bail on it but this seems like a much cheaper and easier solution.
Do you think it would be harder to use if I glued the pointer and middle fingers together and then attached them to the thumb with light line? I tend to lose track of little things so if they were all connected the chances would dwindle
Very clever

I have that same Snow Peak bowl as well. I have to think it would be a bit more cumbersome if those fingers are glued together, but I'm sure it would work and probably would be easier to keep track of. The nice thing is that its cheap enough to experiment with. I'm using them mostly with the Kmart Grease pot (I don't use the Fosters pot that much) at the moment and store them inside the cook system.
