Did any of you see this in Science recently? Is this any better than the "waterproof-breatheable" fabric that has been used up to this point? The fact that it is in Science, makes me think there must be something new or perhaps better about this.

I saw a blurb about that research in a news article recently, too. As I read it, it has nothing to do with waterproofing. This development purports to be an improvement in wicking base layer fabrics. It is not "waterproof breathable".
