Light reusable 9″ diameter top for MSR flex skillet?

After Michael gets his, I need one as well. I'm with you Michael, great pan but a mystery that MSR sells this without a lid, even if you had to buy it as an option.

Scout supermarket cookware sections to see if they have a light skillet to meet your specs.

If so cut and grind off the handle, leaving the rivets to keep the rivet holes closed.

I use a 5 1/2" diameter supermarket "one egg frypan" W/O the handle for times when I want to fry something like pancakes or omlettes (or both on mornings when I'm feeling hungry).

Very light and very easy to make, takes about 2 minutes. The largest I’ve made though is 6″ for my 3 cup thrift store cookpot. But I’m confident it would work for a 9″ pan as well and likely weigh around 0.4 oz. I’m not sure if theres 9″ tall aluminum cans out there, but you could make one from a dollar store aluminum cookie sheet.

How about making one out of aluminium flashing? Just draw a template on the flashing and cut it out with tin snips or heavy scissors. Then poke a couple of holes hole in the top and add a cable tie for a handle. Done. I'm sure someone would send you a small piece if you post on gear swap if you don't want to buy an entire roll of the stuff.
