Hi,

Looking for midweight hiking socks to wear over a coolmax injinji liner in cooler weather. Darn Tough and Bridgedale seem popular, with the Bridgedale being readily available locally to me.

However, I note that Bridgedale use considerably less merino in their socks (i.e. less than 50% in many models)… Will these still get the odour fighting (and warmth) benefits merino is known for?

Most wool socks I've owned have been between 70 and 100% wool, which seems to work well… but assume less will dry faster as well?

I have some 50/50 wool socks and they will start to smell bad but not as quickly as synthetics. They are warmer when wet than synthetic socks, but not as warm as wool. They dry slower than synthetics but faster than wool. They are somewhere in between.
