After doing a short hike in the Lost Creek Wilderness a few years ago, I've been dying to get back to Colorado and do some more hiking in the Rockies. In the beginning of September, I have a little more than two weeks to hike the CT. Since I won't have time to complete the whole thing, I'd like to do the best 200 miles or so. Any thoughts?
I'd say the best parts of the CT would be the southern half. The best parts are from Cachatopa Creek (La Garita Wilderness) to Durango.
