Fire Maple FMS-300T (stove) Question

In my humble opinion …

The chance of a blockage with the FMS-300T is exactly the same as with the FMS-116T. The two stoves have identical bases, valves and jets.

Good advice (in another thread) is to remove the sintered filter plug inside the jet and replace it with a scrap of tissue or TP. See the other thread for details.

Thanks, Roger – so it's simply a problem of the stoves design, and solving it is essentially remaking the filter, period. As a non-mechanically inclined person, I've been hesitant to do that for fear of screwing up the stove by my ham-fisted tinkering. How unpleasant to know I've got to do it twice!

the problem isn't dirty fuel. The problem is that fire Maple didn't put anything between the filter and the jet. As a result on some stoves a metal bead in the sintered filter presses against the jet blocking the flow of fuel to the jet.

When the jet is cold some fuel will make it to the jet and the stove will appear to work correctly. But once it warms up, the sintered blug expands, the flow of fuel is at least reduced and at worst totally stopped.
