BIG thanks to Craig who pointed out these cheap Tenkara rods. I got myself a pair and made my first ever Tenkara setup. It was only this year a got a chance to actually try in in Vivo. It rocks for a newbie like me! It's very light and compact which I found a bonus when bouldering alpine stream

It also made me catch my first time ever Tenkara style fish. The little beauty went in second after the picture was taken. And I've used barbless hook not to damage the fish too much.

The rod is cheap and I don't know how to compare it to more expesive rods in terms of flex etc. but for first time ever Tenkara style fishing trial and error I think its great deal. You can build very cheap setup with it and move up if you like it.
