I'm looking for a new shelter this year and I'm wondering if anyone has experience with or thoughts about using a Hexamid twin tarp with a BearPaw Pyranet inner. Seems like a good way to create a double-wall shelter that would be about the same weight as a Hexamid tent but two advantages: being able to set up just the inner on nights when I only need bug protection and decreasing condensation issues by using a double-wall.

So what's the drawback? Giving up some room maybe? Will it be too crowded for two? Would love to hear thoughts from folks who have used or considered this option.

Looked at this for two but the pyranet 2 is 44" wide. Pretty narrow for two people. Just barely room enough for two pads. The other thing that kept me from trying this is that one of you will have to crawl over the other if they have to get up in the night. Fr one person, pretty nice!
