Well, as lots of folks are finalizing their departure dates for the JMT, I'd like to see some final food lists/menus. Lots of gear lists out there, but frankly, we all carry much of the same stuff.
I'm looking for some of the nuances that the cooks in us all try to impart into our backcountry experiences. My son is not an easy person to cook for, so my upcoming JMT hike is going to be very interesting. I'm hoping to glean a few nuggets for our trip.
So lets see the food lists for this upcoming season!

In my JMT hike, I took buffalo, chicken, lentils, beans, chuño, rice, orzo, chicken broth, tomato paste, and a spice rack.

I snacked on fruit smoothies w/malto dextrin, chocolate chip cookies, muffins, good n plenty candies, gummi worms, frito-cheeto mix, chocolate and peanut butter.

I had some cheese and tortillas too.

I cooked on wood most of my trip using a sidewinder cone.

I had a cup of hot chocolate on top of Whitney before going to bed, I think I traded curry spice for it at Rae lakes.

wonder if you could use that big cheese puff canister for a bear can?
