anyone wanna go to the eastern sierra this weekend?email me at erferf at yahoo dot com
thinking about snowshoeing if there is enough snow…big pine(south fork to brainerd lakes) or onion valley trailheads…gimme a shout if you wanna just carpool and go your own way or if you wanna join…im usually a solo guy but its all good…
May 7, 2013 at 7:19 pm #1984259You would have to go above 10,300' to hit any snow worth snowshoeing.
May 9, 2013 at 9:32 am #1984797Hey Dave,
I was just up at Kearsarge Pass via Onion Valley last weekend and there isn't any snow that you could snowshoe on. There were several 100' sections before the pass but nothing serious. On the west side into the basin there was more snow but again, not much on the trail. It was still a lot of fun though since most people aren't out yet.
