We like our website!
But Jeffrey Shaffer has a whole series on the various parks and wilderness areas, from Sequoia and Kings Canyon on north through Yosemite, Emigrant, Carson-Iceberg, etc.
And Sierra North and Sierra South are still the best big overview.

Sierra North and South are fantastic. Also, 100 Hikes In California's Central Sierra and Coast Range were my go to books when I first started backpacking
