I will be using it in fly and foot print mode. So all my observations only apply to fly and foot print.

Weight- 3lbs 13 oz- not the lightest thing in the world

Space- about 40 sq/ft- im not sure how this compares to other tents but me and my GF have plenty of room for a wet rained in aternoon. Border line to much room. She is only a buck ten.

price-(189-20%)+30= 181- not bad at all. Foot print was 30 and I had the 20% off.

durability- This tent fly is made of 70d taffeta so it is very robust(thats nice speak for heavy)

The main purpose for this tent is for my GF. She is not big in the outdoors so I wanted to make sure she had a comfy camp(at the cost of my knees). I also wanted to make sure that weather would not be an issue(three season). I have suffered through many less than desirable situations and am hoping to avoid those with her. I can look back and laugh at those situations. Thinking that was actually fun, where as I dont think she would.

Final thoughts- I am happy with the purchase. I know this is BPL and this tent is not exactly "light" but if you split it between two people you have less than 2 lbs per person……Though chances are I will be carrying the full load….Funny part is with the amount of room in this tent I could see me bringing it for a solo shelter on a trip planned with bad weather also. A one person tarp and bivy can get old FAST in constant rain.

Im bringing it out to desolation this weekend I'll take pics and put three big guys in there to show the amount of room.

I would reconmend this tent for any one with a budget, likes a lot of room, doesnt mind a little extra weight(strong knees), or really wet weather trips.

Best garage sale buy I ever made…and I got my friend to buy it. For $20 we picked up a quarter dome t2 (older model that had a simple x-pole setup instead of the new funkiness, and without a stock "fastpitch" option). Just had a mouse hole chewed in the top bug net.

The REI tents are great. They're definitely heavier but have decent room, are cheap, and not so heavy that split between two folks they're great.

You'll like it, I'm sure.

20 dollars that is a steal.

No really you probably spent the 20 dollars on a cheap bowie knife and then robbed an REI…..JK. but thats awesome. I did not make a used gear sale this year or last year I was bummed. Im always busy. I guess now I need to make it a priority.
