Tarp system- Is it Dialed In?

It's not too heavy if you don't mind carrying it!

Is it just for you or do you sometimes share it? For 33 oz you could have most of the single person Tarptents and it would be a lot less fiddly to set up. There's always going to be lighter options but you have to decide if the price and fiddle factor are worth the weight savings. The Hexamid is really, really light but crawling under the beak and all those stakes don't appeal to me. Lots of other people obviously take no issue with that though.

FWIW, I just replaced an MLD Grace Duo with a Bearpaw Luna 2 pyramid. I really like needing fewer poles and stakes than the cat tarp and I feel like I've got a lot more room under it. My new set up, with pole jack, 4 Y-stake, 4 skewer stakes, guylines, groudcloth, and stuff sack is 26.5 oz. I don't have the bug protection you have though.

well that sil tarp 2 should have plenty of room thats for sure. 12 stakes is quite a bit but only you know how many youll need. I pitch my sil tarp 1 with 6. One for each corner and one for each pole and I can get a pretty tight pitch out of it. You could probably get by with 8. That should save you 4-5 ounces if you wanted.

I would pack your backpack and decide how it feels weight wise and see if you even care to cut more weight. You could set that tarp up in cool ways with extra steaks and line.

I like your set up. I have a very similar one for this year. but that sil tarp 2 should be a palace for one person and will likely become a hang out on a rainy afternoon.

You may be able to get a lighter version of the ID tarp by going to cuben, but that's an expense that probably isn't worth it if you're content with your system. Same with the inner tent by getting one with a Cuben floor and lighter bug net, but a lot of expense for what amounts to spreadsheet satisfaction more than anything else.

Since you do have so many stakes I'd use 6 Y-stakes for the corners and the ridgeline, then shed some weight by using titanium skewers for the mid panel tieouts. But you know the OK wind better than I so that may not be feasible. Alternatively as another poster said maybe just one Y-stake for the midpanel tieout and none (or Ti skewers) for the other tieouts. Still you're only shaving a few ounces off at most.

You could easily get under 30oz and probably under 25oz but at a lot more expense so I'd say you're dialed in very well.

EDIT: You didn't mention what your guylines are but that could be a place to drop another oz…again at extra cost that may not be justified.

33 oz is not heavy compared to what most people carry. The combination should be quite comfy.

I would loose some of the weight of the stakes by carrying mostly lighter stakes.
You can always supplement as needed by using found objects.

I know my stake selection became lighter and lighter over the years when I found how well UL stakes work when combined with the stuff I find in the wild.
