Doing a section of the PCT. I'm thinking that I will show up at Lake Morena on Friday evening and then wake up Saturday morning to catch a shuttle back to the starting point. Orr I could try to find a trail angel in SD area and have one more night of restful sleep on a bed and catch a ride in the morning. This is a current small dilemma on this nice trip. Any feedback or ideas of best way to start PCT that might include these ideas? Best websites for trail angels there?

You're not going to sleep much the night before you start such an exciting adventure, so a comfortable bed doesn't seem like much of a priority. Might as well start the fun on Friday night. Just do me a favor when you get to the start point… stroll on down and take a big stinky piss on the border fence.
Given the date that you're posting, I assume your start date doesn't match with the kickoff; for those going to the kickoff (which starts just a few days from now) there's a ride board set up at http://www.swdocs.com/adz/rides_offered.php
When I started the trail, I found it easy to catch a ride to the border from the KO event.
Most thru-hikers I know ended up starting out by staying with Scout and Frodo in San Diego. If they can't help you directly, they'll certainly be the ones best "in the loop" to suggest best options:
