I was using a GSI H2JO in conjunction with a Humangear CapCap and a Hydro Flask 40oz bottle. This setup functioned well but was heavy and made for a very tall and ugly bottle. I wanted to build a filter into my capcap and ditch the H2JO. I cut out the bottom of a 12oz soda can, and drilled a bunch of holes in it. I cut the can with scissors and used a 3/64 bit because i only have one 1/32 bit and didnt want to break it. The little aluminum filter snaps firmly inside the lip on the bottom of the capcap. So now i just put rough grind coffee or loose tea in the hydroflask, put the cap on, and pour. I might drink a little mud as it is, but if i really like this setup i will buy more TINY drill bits and do it right. This setup also serves to keep chunks of ice and lemon from passing through the mouthpiece. Saved weight 1.7oz, and 13 dollars cheaper than H2JO.
