I used to document my little weekend trips, but haven’t in many months until this one. It was one of those in-after-work and out-by-noon trips.

A small description is at the bottom of the page and my “trip report” can be followed by reading the comments in the photos in order.

Hey Elliot, where is this Pine Valley? I'm a Utah hiker and this looks like a really lovely trip.

Hi Kim,
Sorry for the late responose! Pine Valley is in southwestern Utah, about 25 minutes north of St. George. It's a stark foresty change from the red cliffs of St. George. This trip was on the northern end of the mountain, more like 40 minutes away, where the terrain is more open and rolling. There are many trails, including the great Summit Trail, which walks nearly 40 miles along the ridgeline – I've yet to do the entire thing, but have done about 15 miles of it.

Thanks,
Elliot
