Hi there,
Can anyone recommend a wild beach that I could backpack to somewhere on the east coast (Mid Atlantic or Northeast preferred). I would prefer to be able to sleep near the waves and see wildlife. I've got about two to three days to work with for this trip.

Apr 3, 2013 at 6:49 pm #1972574It is a bit out of the way, near the Canadian border, but I highly recommend the Cutler Coast, Maine. It must be the most spectacular official (public land where backpacking is permitted) coastal backpacking site on the East Coast.
