Hey,
I currently own a Feather Friends Ptarmigan bag but I'm looking to save some weight and downsize for an upcoming trip to the Alaskan Range (~ 14,000 ft). I prefer Western Mountaineering bags over Feathered Friends (I currently own the SummerLite and Apache GWS) so I'm currently looking at the Lynx MF (6'6"). Additionally I've been recommended the Valandre Shocking Blue (6'6").
The stats seem quite similar:
Western Mountaineering Lynx MF (6'0"):

Fill Weight: 32 oz
Inside Girth (Circumference): 62"/54"/39"
Valandre Shocking Blue (M):
Length: 6'0"
Weight: 3 lbs 1 oz

Inside Girth (Circumference): 63.3"/56.7"/41.7"
I have a few questions:
1/ Are these bags comparable from a temperature standpoint. I think Western Mountaineering possibly underrates their bags by a few degrees, but is the -10 F Lynx similar to the Shocking Blue 25/10/-25 F comfort/level of comfort/extreme rating
2/ I've heard some people don't like the draft colar on the Shocking Blue and wonder how difficult it is to use?
3/ Additionally I've read that the Shocking Blue is quite wide in the shoulders. I don't intend to wear bulky layers in the bag, just thermals.
4/ Is the Western Mountaineering MF sufficient for repelling moisture? It's a few ounces lighter than the GWS model.
5/ Which bag do people recommend?
