Wait. You have to pay an extra $15 for the larger pot support? That would be $90 for an upright canister stove? True, it has auto ignition, but still. I hope Soto hasn’t just priced themselves out of the market. Personally, if I really needed wind resistance, I might just get an MSR or Optimus remote canister stove for about the same price (or substantially less for a Fire Maple or Kovea remote canister stove).

The windproof design is an interesting concept, although I’m a little skeptical that it would work as well as say a full windscreen on a remote canister stove or something like an MSR Reactor.
