So I used my new folding three pronged Esbit Stove today with folded aluminum wind screen and in moderate wind.
I am looking for ways that lighten my pack and this seems like a HIT!
Can someone tell me is this the most efficient stove? As in best balance of weight, flexibility and speed? it seems a bit better than my alcohol stove.

Not necessarily the most efficient but possibly the best from a weight standpoint. I'm enamored with some of the integrated systems by Trail Designs, Four Dogs, and Flat Cat. The big question for me is what is the base weight of those individual systems and if they are heavier, will their performance justify the extra weight. Mine is 5.1 oz and I'm not convinced that I need a 1oz cozy.
You can either lighten it up as much as possible or start exploring some of the previously mentioned systems to make better use of the heat and achieve better combustion. I'm also interested in seeing how much weight I can save if I transition to a SP ti bowl or a beer can. Even if it's not more efficient, every oz saved is at least 1 liter of boiled water in fuel.
As far as fuel goes, I'm on the fence if I'm going to start using .25oz Coghlan tablets vs. the .5oz Esbit. I'm not achieving a boil with the Coghlans (16oz of 40* water) but my water seems plenty hot enough to rehydrate dinner or for coffee.
Here's a thread I've started on the topic which I'll update as I buy and experiment with different systems. I'm going to buy a Flat Cat system in April and then probably the Caldera Cone in May:
Ian good points, when you mix in a gram counting "evil twisted Pyro engineer" (me) I can't decide. I am always tinkering to get results good or bad.
But the Esbit folding stove- 3 legged – really impressed me today.
it was 55 deg and windy I boiled 2 cups of water and then just about got a boil on 2 more cups for tea before the .50 oz cube died.
That and it was light and easy. No muss or fuss, for spring and summer use seems like I may stick with this set up and just build a Ti windscreen. Once I get a good screen I'll be under 4.5 oz for a cook kit.
I can get a boil on a single .25 Coghlans.
My cook kit with 2 ti stakes (multiuse) weighs 3.1 ounces.
Easier than alcohol and blows a canister out of the water.
