Is there much of a difference between the 2 piece Yana's and the 3 piece Yana's beside the obvious number of sections and adjustment distance? Is one more durable, more comfortable? Thanks!

The three piece poles are just more compact for travel. If you fly frequently, the three piece poles will go inside your pack. Or, if you do a lot of off trail bushwacking, the three piece poles are more low profile when strapped to your pack. If neither of those apply, save some money and get the two piece Yanas.
