Hey there, I'm hoping to get a walk on permit for the JMT this summer in August. Any books or documentaries for pretrip planing/on the trail guide you guys would recommend would be greatly appreciated, thanks amigos.

Erik the Black JMT atlas I thought was great.

you can also look at all the posts here, the PCTA.org website or buy the trail book , all for Pre-planning.
for on the trail, just take ETB'S.
if sending a resupply bucket to MTR, make sure you look at their website for requirements.
