Since yosemite requires a bear canister (BV500) should I get a medium or large zpacks zero?
My big two are JRB Hudson River and Hexamid.

Its hard to say without your whole gear list but I would go with a large..
bv500 is 700ci and the zero med is 2200 ci and the large is 2800
