I'd like to plan a 3-5 day trip in the beginning of April. I live in Wisconsin, somewhere within ~500 miles would be nice. Snow free/very little snow areas are a must, warm temps are preferred. I was thinking either the Buffalo River trail in AR or Red River Gorge in KY. Thanks in advance for sharing ideas!

I was going to recommend Michigan's Upper Peninsula but its possible there still could be snow on the ground.

If it is cold sleeping that you're worried about, you can go to the Porcupine Mountains in the UP. The have cabins and yurts up there that you can rent. It is pretty pleasant in the winter to be toasty warm in a cabin while staring out the window at a frozen lake.
You ought to be able to string together a 4 day route between cabins.

As for warm locations near by, I'm still trying to figure that one out…
