I came across these photos of a lantern I made a few years ago.
Use a small juice can and the bottom half of a polycarbonate baby bottle. The polycarbonate bottle resists the heat of the candle.
The only air holes needed are the ones on top of the can(see photo)
Can slides easily up and down into bottle.
