I'm looking at ditching my trekking poles and getting some dedicated tent poles for my Mid tarp. I've been looking at the ZPacks poles but can't help but feel they look a little flimsy. I need something that can withstand a couple inches of wet snow loading and 50+ mph wind. Has anyone ever had a ZPacks pole snap under these conditions? I may just go with the Ruta Locura poles but I would like to save as much weight and money as possible.
