Has anyone used this as their food hanging bag? Its around 2oz. Currently I am using a Luxurylite SackPak 3oz that I also use as a day/summit pack. I think the GG will pack up smaller since it is silnylon, and I dont really use the Luxurylite pack that often as a daypack. This is non-bear areas, just keeping away from rodents,deer, and goats. What do you use and what do you think of this change?

I've been using mine for car camping, what a great idea, if you can hang on for a couple of months I'll give it a try.

I’ve been meaning to get one, but it appears that it DOES have a zipper across the top, eh? nice call on using it for hanging… I wonder if you could even use it AS the throwbag in it’s compacted size (maybe tuck a couple of smooth rocks up under that flap?)…
